ABOUT ME
Paul has mentored thousands of students to achieve their academic goals
Under his guidance, students have written college application essays that contributed to their acceptances into Harvard, Yale, Princeton, UPenn, Cornell, West Point, and dozens of other prestigious universities.
He has increased digital SAT scores 150-300 points and composite ACT scores 4-8 points. He has raised math and English grades from C’s to B’s and B's to A's.
For motivated and disciplined writers, he has coached them to win prizes in a variety of national and international writing contests including the John Locke Institute Essay Competition, Young Playwrights Festival, and Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.
He has worked with elite students of all ages from prestigious private, specialized, and public high schools including Phillips Exeter, Horace Mann, Trinity, Hotchkiss, Lawrenceville, Choate Rosemary Hall, Peddie, Tenafly High School, and Bergen County Academies.
His journey began as far back as his junior year in high school when he spontaneously decided to tutor his peers for their AP exams. After high school, he enrolled at Yale and continued to develop his teaching abilities as a volunteer tutor for the New Haven community and as a paid tutor for northern NJ students. During his college summers, he devoted himself to full-time tutoring.
After college, he founded his own after-school learning center in California where he developed semester-long academic programs. Having learned valuable lessons from his first entrepreneurial effort, he then founded and taught at Peak Learning Center in northern New Jersey. Peak became a highly successful after-school academy for students who sought assistance in school subjects, standardized tests, college applications, and life coaching. After nearly a decade of serving as the President of Peak, he stepped down from that role in order to focus more of his time and energy on his students. He currently teaches private and small group lessons in his office in Norwood, NJ.
Whether through small group classes or private lessons, Paul connects with students, motivates them to dream bigger and work harder, pinpoints areas of improvement, utilizes proven methods, and above all, gets results.
