Paul has taught many students how to effectively read passages and write analytical essays for a wide variety of AP Subjects.

He teaches the following subjects:

  • AP Seminar

  • AP English Language and Composition

  • AP English Literature and Composition

  • AP European History

  • AP United States History

  • AP World History: Modern

  • AP United States Government and Politics

  • AP Comparative Government and Politics

Although each of the above subjects covers different topics, the respective AP exams share important similarities. Basically, each AP exam has a multiple choice section and a free-response (essay) section. Paul trains the student to do well on both sections. For the multiple choice section, he assigns practice questions and tests to fill in gaps, reinforce weaknesses, and fine-tune strengths. For the free-response section, he explains the rubric, analyzes model essays, and assigns practice essays on which he will provide scores and comments. With enough practice, the student will eventually master the material. Students who study hard in their AP classes and get supplemental help from Paul usually achieve at least 4’s and often 5’s on their AP exams.
